Big Update

Finally – I got a stable day job.  Actually, it will only be a day job for the first 6 months.  Then it will be an alternative schedule – Sunday through Thursday, 1:30pm-10pm.

I know what you are thinking, how am I going to have a music career when I am working evenings?  It just means I need to shift my musical priorities.  For example, I’m going to start focusing mainly on my small group playing and multimedia creations.

In terms of upcoming gigs, I have a big band gig coming up in May with City Swing in Gualala CA, that’s May 31st.  In June my good friend Zoe Lewis is coming to town and I’m going to be sitting in with her on a tune or two.  The big band I play with at the Jazz School will be having a show later this spring also.

The new work schedule will allow me to play more with some guys I went to school with at local jam sessions, so that is a good thing.  And I will have the money to upgrade my computer and recording equipment which will enable me to be more creative.
